Stoyan Stefanov Iliev graduated from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia under Prof. Dechko Uzunov and studied sculpture under Prof. Lyubomir Dalchev. He works as a painter, illustrator and monumentalist.
In the work, one can see colors from traditional folk fabrics, fairy tales from our folklore, beautiful female images, but also futuristic forms, the fruit of his imagination.
In the painting, key artists are seen, who are not depicted by chance, because in artistic circles one of the main drivers is the ego, therefore the authors are often in conflict with each other.
Therefore, Iliev depicts them together to ironize this fact.
