Four decades of love for the magic of the seventh art, full halls, and shared emotions – this autumn, "Kinomania" celebrates its 40th edition!

On this occasion, the film forum will turn into a true celebration. In the second half of November – as tradition dictates, the festival will present the strongest, most discussed, and awarded titles from Cannes, Venice, Toronto, and Karlovy Vary shortly after their world premieres.

November 21 will welcome two exceptional premieres. Starting at 8 PM, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy "Fjord" by Cristian Mungiu, starring Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve. This film earned the director his second "Palme d'Or" and was met with enthusiastic reviews for its psychological depth and skillful portrayal of today's society.

The Georgiu family – a devout Romanian-Norwegian couple (Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve) – moves to a remote Norwegian town by the fjords with their five children. There, they bond with their neighbors, the Halberg family. Their children become friends despite their different upbringings.
When teenager Elia Georgiu shows up at school with several bruises on her body, the local community begins to wonder whether the traditional upbringing that the children in the Georgiu family receive from their parents has something to do with it.
